Our jail is blessed to have the support of many volunteers who provide services to our inmates and juveniles held here. Recently, volunteer Sheila David was recognized by the Wisconsin Jail Association as the 2018 Jail Support Person of the Year. She has volunteered here since 2007 and in addition to directly mentoring juveniles, she saw a need that she was passionate about. Sheila has developed two libraries in our jail – one for the adult inmates and one for juveniles. Not only has she categorized each library of books we have, but she spends time outside the jail making the rounds in our community book stores, resale stores, schools, churches, and other places seeking out second hand books to add to our collection. Thank you, Sheila, for providing a service that impacts nearly every inmate and juvenile in our facility, as books provide both education and entertainment for those incarcerated here. Pictured with Sheila is Staff Sergeant Kelly Schoebel, our Juvenile Detention Facility Superintendent.

Help us identify this vehicle and driver! At 9:30am this morning, a deputy attempted to stop this dark colored Toyota Tacoma pickup in the area of CTH B and CTH V in Eden. The vehicle fled northbound on CTH V and the deputy continued in pursuit until reaching the city of Fond du Lac limits where the pursuit was terminated at CTH V and USH 151. The vehicle was last seen heading east on Pioneer Rd. from CTH V. The vehicle had no license plates on it and was driven by a younger male. If you have any information about the vehicle or driver, please contact us at 920-929-3390. You can also anonymously report information to our tip line at 920-906-4777. Thank you!

A month ago we shared a photo of a deputy almost getting struck by a vehicle that spun out of control on snow covered roads. Today a deputy who was sitting in his squad at a multi-vehicle crash scene was struck. We cannot express how important it is to slow down for emergency vehicles. We are currently experiencing white-out conditions in open areas throughout the county, we are working multiple crash scenes, and we have multiple semi tractor trailer units that have crashed. Most of these crashes are on north/south roadways, and Interstate 41 is of particular concern right now with crashes and blockages on both the north and south ends of our county.
