Slow-No-Wake Declared on Entire Rock River

According to US Geological Survey Gauges, the water level for Lake Koshkonong is 10.96 feet. County Ordinance requires a slow-no-wake speed restriction be placed on the Rock River when water levels exceed 8.0 feet on Lake Koshkonong.

The Sheriff’s Office is providing public notice of the Rock River’s current slow-no-wake status.

Currently, the entire Rock River is under a slow-no-wake restriction.

UPDATE: This dog is estimated by a veterinarian to be approximately 7 years old. She has a skin infection and overgrown toenails along with some other health related issues. She’s been turned over to the Humane Society of Southern WI.

This female dog was turned over to the Sheriff’s Office on March 18, 2019. She was found on Friday, March 15th, 2019. The finder tried to locate the owner on their own with no success and then contacted the Sheriff’s Office.

She was found in the 11000 block of W. Brandherm Rd. between S. CTH K and S. Merlet Rd.

She wasn’t wearing a collar or tags and no microchip was detected.

She had some injuries that required medical care. She was taken to a local veterinary where she is being treated for those injuries.

Slow-No-Wake Declared on Rock River- Update

According to US Geological Survey Gauges, the water level for Afton is 10.08 feet. County Ordinance requires a slow-no-wake speed restriction be placed on the Rock River downstream of the W B R Town Line Road Bridge when water levels exceed 8.50 feet in Afton.

The Sheriff’s Office is providing public notice of the Rock River’s current slow-no-wake status. Deputies will begin placing slow-no-wake signs along the river at all public access points between the W B R Town Line Road Bridge and the Stateline.

At this time the Rock River is under a slow-no wake restriction south of the Indianford Dam.
