After they were paid in full, they went off the bond. Didn't give a reason at all and hung up every time I called to find out why. They just want your money. These people are crooks.

In the month of January 2018 the Montague County Sheriff's Office had 32 livestock calls, 25 Disturbance/Assault calls, and 5 Agency Assist. With a total of 648 calls.

Sheriff Thomas, Chief Hughes, Sgt's Lawson and Stewart went to 107 Wade Street in Nocona and served a warrant on Alicia Smiddy for Silent Calls to 911. Smiddy is believed to have made numerous silent 911 calls to Nocona PD and the Montague Sheriff's Office. Smiddy resisted the arrest but was taken into custody with no injuries.

Officers received a call of a burglary in progress located at 340 Jack Grace Hill Road west of Bowie. Responding officers found Key Eugene Gilliam and Larissa Dorgan inside the residence. The two suspects were brought out of the house at gunpoint. The owner of the residence was contacted and he stated that no one was supposed to be in the residence. The two were charged with Criminal Trespass of a Habitation and Possession of a Controlled Substance for the drugs found in Gilliam's vehicle.

A search warrant was obtained for a residence located at 901 Fruitland Road southeast of Bowie, based on information of a confidential informant. Sheriff Thomas, Chief Hughes, Sgt's Lawson and Stewart and Deputies Brandle, Pelton (and Ace), and Greanead, executed the search warrant. Arrested at the residence were Kci Courson, Jeanne Huggins, Tammie Stein, and Annie McWilliams. Over 10 ounces of Marijuana, 20 grams of Xanax, two handguns, a rifle and a shotgun were seized in the search as well as over $3200.00.

Deputy Gentry was called to take a report from Adin Croxton about his vehicle being stolen. Croxton told Deputy Gentry that Joseph William Shoefstall asked to use his vehicle and when Croxton refused, Shoefstall displayed a handgun and told Croxton that he wasn't asking, and then took the vehicle. The vehicle was located by Nocona PD to be at a residence in Nocona. Sheriff Thomas, Sgt's Lawson and Stewart, Deputies Gentry and Romine traveled to Nocona to attempt to apprehend the suspect Shoefstall and the vehicle. Shoefstall was observed driving the vehicle. Sheriff Thomas activated the emergency lights on his vehicle in an attempt to stop the vehicle. The vehicle accelerated and led officers on a chase in the city limits of Nocona. The vehicle stopped due to mechanical difficulties on Young at Poplar Street in Nocona. Shoefstall was ordered out of the vehicle and placed under arrest without incident. A handgun matching the description of the one described by Croxton was located in a driveway on the pursuit route where the occupants of the suspect vehicle allegedly threw it out.

Keep up the good work!!
