On March 11 the Skamania County Courthouse ONLY entry will be through the doors located on the NORTH side of the building facing Vancouver Ave. The lower level entry points will be locked to increase the safety of county employees and the general public.

The Sheriff's Office supports these measures as we continue to strive to make public safety our number one priority.

We continue to find reasons why this county is so amazing! A few days ago we shared a post regarding Sgt. Clifford shoveling snow for a member of this community who had recently lost a loved one. Upon hearing about this, he was quick to make sure people knew he was not alone.

Sgt. Clifford was assisted by Pamela Seaman and Katherine Morrison who live in area. He stated that they were able to stay and shovel snow, to make sure our community member was able to get around.

While the news chose not to publish this part of the story, we are very thankful to see that citizens in Skamania County are willing to help others in their time of need.
