A quick reminder that we still have fire danger because of the low humidity. This just came across the wire:

INCREASED FIRE DANGER TODAY

RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL DROP TO 30 TO 40 PERCENT ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION THIS AFTERNOON. THIS WILL COMBINE WITH
SOUTHWEST WINDS OF 5 TO 15 MPH WITH SOME HIGHER GUSTS IN MOST LOCATIONS TO PRODUCE INCREASED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON INTO EARLY EVENING. FIRES WILL BE EASIER TO IGNITE AND HARDER TO CONTAIN. A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH FROM THE NORTHWEST LATE THIS AFTERNOON WITH A CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND A POSSIBLE THUNDERSTORM BUT RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE LIGHT THROUGH EARLY THIS
EVENING.

RESIDENTS OF EAST TENNESSEE, EXTREME SOUTHWEST NORTH CAROLINA, AND
EXTREME SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA ARE DISCOURAGED FROM BURNING TODAY DUE
TO THE INCREASED POTENTIAL FOR FIRE GROWTH AND SPREAD.
