Within 6 hours, last night, deputies recovered two stolen U-Haul trucks.

The first truck, a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, was recovered on North Kansas Expressway after the female suspect stopped to get some items from Walmart. She was in possession of illegal drug paraphernalia.

The second truck, a 2019 Ford F-150, was stopped and the male driver was arrested. He also had drugs in his possession.

Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Greene County jail. #teamwork

Last night between the hours of 10:00 pm and approximately 3:00 am our agency had 9 additional deputies out protecting motorists from impaired drivers.

57 total stops were conducted -

6 - DWI

1 - Felony warrant arrest

4 - Citations: No Insurance, DWLR/S, Fail to Register Motor Vehicle, Fail to maintain lane

The remainder of the stops were issued warning - #teamwork #soberdriver #dontdrinkanddrive

Several of you have posted comments and questions about the Greene County Sheriff’s Office return to documentary television series Live PD on A&E on the A&E network.

Here is our initial list of Deputies who will be appearing on Live PD this season:

There may also be unplanned changes, additional participants and special appearances throughout the year.

Deputy Craigmyle will not be appearing this season. Deputy Craigmyle’s position as the Public Information Officer will keep him busy promoting Sheriff’s Office activities and planning events, including Live PD events. You may have also noticed that Deputy Craigmyle’s title has changed from Corporal to PIO (Public Information Officer). Deputy Craigmyle has been the PIO for 1.5 years now. He and K9Lor are still active members of the K9 unit. K9 Lor is not retired.

Because we are always striving to be more efficient, effective, and professional the GCSO recently restructured. Many position titles and duties around the Sheriff’s Office were evaluated and changed. Deputy Craigmyle and Lor will as always, be in attendance a number of community related events and activities in 2019, including the upcoming Live PD watch party.

We are excited to have the opportunity once again to take you on a Live PD virtual ride along with several of our deputies. We are blessed to have such professional deputies and we are eager to share with you, a small sampling of what law enforcement officers experience across our nation.
