No one likes the thought of experiencing a traumatic event. Would you know how to help save a life? Pearl River County Hospital will offer "Stop the Bleed" classes to the public free of charge on Thursday, March 28, at 3:00 pm, and again on Saturday, March 30, at 10:00 am. The classes will be held at the Pearl River County Emergency Operations Center located at 810 Highway 11 South in Poplarville. The sessions will be taught by Pearl River County Sheriff's Department Deputy Justin Miller. Justin has received extensive training while serving as a medic in the armed forces and also as a SWAT team member. According to Deputy Miller, "The course is a national initiative to help reduce the number of traumatic deaths that are associated with anything from accidents around the home to terrorist attacks" . "Stop the Bleed" training teaches students to help control life threatening bleeding by using tourniquets, wound packing, and several other methods. No registration is required.

We enjoyed our time earlier at the annual ARC fun day in Poplarville. This is an event that we look forward to every year. We provided K9 demonstrations and tried our best to keep up playing the rest of the games. Thank you again for inviting us! #workingtogether
