Joe came to our home to help us bail a co-worker and was so wonderful and made it so easy! Our friends family was so stressed out and he handled it all and made us feel so relieved! We made him stay for breakfast! He is Wonderful!

Napa Police Department

The Napa Police Department is one of the oldest Police Departments in the state of California. It was originally established in 1875, just three years after the town itself was incorporated and only 25 years after California became a state. The very first Chief of Police was Jerome B. Walden and he commanded a force of four Police Officers, two Night Watchmen, and a Town Marshal.

On 3/19, at 3:45PM, Officers responded to a call of a man breaking glass bottles and throwing them at passing cars. When Officers tried to talk to the man, he ran into a back shed in the 2400 block of Main St/Central Ave. Officers used a less lethal projectile device to encourage the man to cooperate. He was taken into custody without anyone getting hurt. There is no threat to the neighborhood and there were no gunshots. Thank you for your patience if you were caught in the middle of this event.

We’ve heard many of your concerns about Napa Vape and Smoke Shop selling cannabis and butane honey oil (wax) illegally to minors. Those tips led to a lengthy investigation that shut down the shop. The owner and conspirators will he charged with selling cannabis to minors. Our hope is that this sends a message that providing those substances to our kids will not be tolerated. Thank you to our community for being patient during this investigation. #notinourtown #nsib
